CFP: Anthropology of Tourism

Starting with 2013 the Journal of Tourism Challenges and Trends charges a publication fee of 60 EUR / 75 USD. Authors are invited to submit articles and the reviewing process is free of charge. If an article is accepted for publication, the final version of the paper will enter the respective issue only if the authors provide the mentioned fee one month prior to the publication date (i.e. June or December). Additional copies of the journal could be obtained with a 50% discount from the price of an issue.

The Journal of Tourism Challenges and Trends is increasingly more accessible since it is indexed in major academic data-bases, such as CEEOL, Ebsco, ProQuest and others. All the fees asked are important to increase the high quality of the publication and to keep publishing the printed edition.

CfP: Innovation in Tourism (DDL: Feb. 1, 2013)

The next issue of the Journal of Tourism Challenges and Trends is dedicated to innovation in tourism industry. The journal invites academics and professionals in tourism to send manuscripts for publication consideration until the 1st of February 2013.

Guest editor for this special issue is Prof.dr. Said M. Ladki, Prof. & Chair – School of Business, Lebanese-American University.

In the difficult times that world economies are facing, innovation is vital in order to attract clients and to be more efficient. Innovation could encompass a large arrow of forms, from technological advancement to original approaches of business and clients. Articles for the next issue of JTCT could focus on areas such as:
– trends in tourism
– creativity in tourism
– use of internet in tourism industry
– sustainable tourism products
– unique destination planning
– innovation strategies in tourism

Additional topics and approaches are welcomed. Interdisciplinary approaches are encouraged.

Deadline of submission: 1st of February 2013
Author notification: 25th of March 2013
Final acceptance of paper: 19th of May 2013
